For individual psychological therapy whether I have been recommended to you or you have found me through your own search, maybe the first thing to ask yourself is – do I have any further questions about counselling psychology, or how Szeri works in particular?
If so, you can contact me through the contact form or phone. I aim to respond promptly – usually within 24 hours.
The next step is to book in an initial session via email or phone.
In our initial appointment we can explore your goals, aspirations and difficulties that you have been experiencing. It is also a good opportunity for you to get a sense of what it is like to work with me. At this stage we can decide collaboratively what the therapy could involve and how long it may need to be.
If we choose to proceed with therapy, we would then decide whether to work for a fixed length of time or in a more open ended way.
Most people come to see me weekly, however some choose to attend therapy twice per week.
Usually we will end therapy either after the fixed period of time decided at the beginning, or after reviewing our progress if working long- term.
